Google+ or Facebook

The small poll that on Pilveraal.ee shows that:
- 49% of readers think that the number of Google+ visitors will exceed the number of Facebook visitors in 2011 or 2012.
- 14% think that it will happen in 2013-2014
- and 35% think Facebook will remain more popular.

The current situation according to Alexa.com is that 1,46% of internet users visit plus.google.com and 44% visit Facebook.

I visit both of them on daily bases. How about you?

    Mul saab Twitter kõige rohkem kasutamist, siis G+ ja siis Facebook.

    My prediction is that Google+ will replace Twitter. This will happen when Google+ will go public and enable company pages. Then you can add companies and people to the "the ones I want to follow" ring and basically that is the Twitter functionality.

A few weeks ago there was a fire drill in the office building of Solita Tallinn. The alarm went on and everybody in the building (the one on the photo) had to evacuate to the street. While waiting on the street for the drill to end we did a small calculation. We calculated that there should be about 800-1000 workplaces in the whole building. However, the "evacuated" crowd was only 150-200 persons strong. So roughly 10-30% of the workplaces in our office building are used. This matches the numbers we are seein

The information in this post and the links were updated on 18th of July 2014. In my opinion Estonia is a good place for IT specialists to find a job and work in! Especially in the situation when the (youth) unemployment is rising and in many European countries there is no sign of it easing.  I promoted the idea to the Estonian IT companies in one of my recent posts .
